Refund Policy
Posted on November 19, 2020As a non-governmental organization, Fo Guang Shan (Malaysia) relies on donations to fund our work on culture, education, charity and cultivations. Due to the nature of donations, refunds can only be given at the discretion of management.
We will consider all refund requests on a case by case basis, however, a refund for any reason outside those detailed below is unlikely to be granted.
A refund will usually be issued in instances where:
- An error has been made by Fo Guang Shan (Malaysia).
- A donor’s banking details have been fraudulently obtained and used.
- Fo Guang Shan (Malaysia) has received a donor’s details in error.
- A donor has previously requested that regular debits be cancelled however, the debits have continued. The refund will be to the maximum of the last debit amount unless a donor can provide proof of the original cancellation request.
In all instances, Fo Guang Shan (Malaysia) will not refund past the previous tax year.
If a refund request is agreed the donor will be refunded within thirty (30) working days of the decision, using the original method of payment. The timely refund of the donation will depend upon the type of credit card or banking instrument used during the transaction.
Donor requesting a refund must email us at fgshsingma@gmail.com within twenty-four (24) hours along with payment receipt, and donor’s details. A final refund amount will be calculated after deducting all online transaction costs.
If a donor wishes to dispute the refund decision, a further request can be escalated by email. Please note that we may request additional information or documentation from you in consideration of any disputed item.
Although most changes are likely to be minor, Fo Guang Shan (Malaysia) may change its Refund Policy from time to time, and in Fo Guang Shan (Malaysia) sole discretion. Fo Guang Shan (Malaysia) encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Refund Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Refund Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
