5月16日，是佛光日，也是大馬教師節。佳節之際，佛光山開山星雲大師表達了「未來佛教要靠大家的發展與影響，讓全世界的佛教都能興隆」的殷切期許，也表示「所有的老師都像蠟燭一樣，燃燒自己，照亮學生；所有的老師都像蓮花一樣，吐露芬芳，嘉惠學子」的真切祝福。為表感恩之心，讓我們以愛語佈施，傳遞愛的思念，祈願祝禱，讓老師及佛光人感受滿滿幸福。
May 16 is the Buddha's Light Day and the Malaysian Teachers' Day. On the festival, Founder of Fo Guang Shan， Venerable Master Hsing Yun expressed his earnest expectation that in the future, Buddhism depends on everyone’s development and influence, thus, Buddhism in the world can flourish. Besides, he also regarded all teachers are like candles and lotus flowers as they radiate light to illuminate students and emit sweet balm to benefit students. Let us deliver our thoughts of love and blessings in loving words, may our teachers and Buddha's Light members enjoy happiness in life.
